On September 23, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with U.S. President Donald Trump at the UN Headquarters during the 80th UN General Assembly.
President Mirziyoyev congratulated President Trump on his achievements in domestic and foreign policy, noting his role in promoting peaceful conflict resolution. President Trump reaffirmed strong U.S. support for Uzbekistan’s reforms aimed at modernization, improving living standards, and strengthening the country’s international standing.
Both sides expressed satisfaction with the growing political dialogue and active business engagement. President Trump praised the outcomes of President Mirziyoyev’s meetings with over 50 major U.S. companies and banks.
A substantial portfolio of contracts and projects has been formed in civil aviation, mining, critical minerals, finance, innovation, chemicals, energy, and other key sectors, expected to create tens of thousands of jobs in both countries.
At the end of the meeting, President Mirziyoyev invited President Trump to visit Uzbekistan. The talks were held in an open, constructive, and friendly atmosphere.
