Our mission
Trade relations between Uzbekistan and the United States of America have entered a transformative new chapter. The Council is here to advance the business bonds of our two nations. The roots of the American-Uzbek Business and Investment Council (the Council) go back to the historic visit of Uzbekistan’s President, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to Washington, D.C., from November 4–6, 2025, for the C5+1 Summit. During this summit, delegations from both countries reached an agreement to formally establish the Council as a platform for bilateral economic cooperation. Shortly after, President Mirziyoyev signed a decree on November 12, 2025, officially mandating the creation of the Council.
